Explore the Town's History
Sheringham has a rich heritage dating back 100s of years. Visit the Sheringham Museum to learn about the town's past and see fascinating exhibits on local industries, such as fishing and agriculture.
Sheringham is the only known place in the world to possess five of its original lifeboats with a continuous service span from 1894 through to 1990. Four of these lifeboats are housed in the Museum. The Trust also owns three traditional fishing boats built in Sheringham by local craftsmen.
Sheringham Little Theatre
Set in the heart of the community, Sheringham little Theatre offers year round entertainment and arts activity for local people and visitors. Famous for its traditional professional Summer Theatre Repertory Season and in-house Pantomime, the theatre also hosts visiting companies and has a vibrant youth programme.
Sheringham Park
Wander through Sheringham Park and you'll discover why it became the personal favourite of its designer, Humphry Repton. Visit the Repton exhibition to see the story of his 1812 design during a turbulent period of history.
Famous for its vast collection of rhododendrons and azaleas, today, you can climb to the top of the two viewing towers at Gazebo to experience breathtaking views of this beautiful landscape, the North Norfolk coast and maybe a steam train passing through.
Spend a day here exploring 1000 acres of varying habitat including woodland, parkland and cliff top. Look out for wildlife, 3 species of deer can be seen alongside a wide variety of birds and butterflies.

Sheringham is a great destination for families. The Sheringham Steam Railway offers a nostalgic journey through the countryside, and the Sheringham Park is a fantastic place for children to explore and play. For a splash of excitement, head to the Reef Fitness Centre for swimming, water obstacles, and other family-friendly activities.
